Job Position Customer Service Representative
   
Reports to: Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager
Department: Branch Administration
Supervises: 0
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years banking experience in New Accounts/Teller activities.  Prior customer service experience.

Qualifications:  
Special Skills: Strong customer service orientation.  Ability to work independently in absence of direct supervision.  Ability to analyze situations accurately and taking effective action.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Good computer and keyboard skills.  Good understanding of financial products and services.
Position Summary: Perform a variety of duties to provide existing and potential customers with efficient and accurate services.  Perform teller work of average difficulty.  Compile statistical data for documents and reports.
Essential Duties
for the Position:
  1. Explain the different types of accounts available to customers and assist in the selection of the most appropriate one for their needs
  2. Open personal or business accounts and prepare all related documentation
  3. Assist customers with requests or complaints and research account problems
  4. Assist customers with reconciling checkbook
  5. Complete necessary forms for customers to have their checks directly deposited
  6. Process and complete savings bond transaction and Master Card & Visa advances
  7. Cross-sell the Bank's services
  8. Keep up with current rules and regulations
  9. Order supplies
  10. Assist customers with bond coupons and meet all the customer's banking needs
  11. Receive and pay out money, and keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in transactions
  12. Receive checks and cash for deposits, verifies amounts, and examines checks for endorsements
  13. Operates office machines, such as computer, calculator, fax, printer and ATM encoder
  14. Closes accounts upon request
  15. Balance monies daily
  16. Perform other job duties or special projects as required
